Top Ten Cloves: Things Overheard In Bush Grindhouse, Over Scott McClellan's New Book
Monday, April 21, 2008
Snow Job
Is this a sign, that the cronies of the Bush Grindhouse, after their lying, ineptness, criminal behavior and stomping of the Constitution, are going to find a comfy home to land in?
Anne Schroder, of the Politico's Shenanigans Column, has this interesting tidbit;
Tony Snow to CNN?
And she notes, "Snow’s ties to Fox News Channel – he hosted "Fox News Sunday" from 1996-2003 when Chris Wallace took over and he still co-hosts a radio show on Fox News with Bill O’Reilly, "The Radio Factor."
Is "The Best Political Team on Television" going low-down?
In her post, Schroder carries a news release from CNN;For Release: April 21, 2008 - Tony Snow Joins CNN as Political Contributor
Former White House press secretary Tony Snow will join CNN as a conservative commentator beginning today, it was announced by Jon Klein, president of CNN/U.S. A well-known and respected observer of politics with a longstanding news background, Snow will contribute to CNN as the network continues to broadcast winning political coverage.
“In the White House, Tony brought a remarkably human touch to the discussion of public policy, which he will continue to do as part of the Best Political Team on Television,” Klein said.
Hmmm ... Mr. Klein, was it this piece of insight that drew you to Snow;
Snow Shrugs Off Post-War Failures: ‘Everybody Gets It Wrong At The Beginning Of A War’
Or, maybe this one;
Victory in Iraq is vital; President has weakened al-Qaeda, made USA safer from attack
(You should know, Mr. Klein, that this is in dispute ... One of Snow's' best buddies disagrees with him)
Is it his rock-solid vision;
Snow: ‘I Don’t Know’ If Iraq War Has Helped Stabilize Middle East, It’s ‘Hard To Say’
Or;
Tony Snow: 'I'm Not Sure Anything Went Wrong' In Iraq
And, Mr. Klein, we assume you already know about this?
This oughta be good to watch ... It could get violent, between Snow, Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper, trying to muscle each other out of the camera shots ...
But, CNN and Klein have a sure-fire ratings-catcher.
Instead of one of those standard sign-offs, at the end of the show, they can fade out, Snow banging his head on a podium ...
Give it time, Mr. Klein, it will end up standing next to Walter Cronkite's nightly exit line...

In Dana Perino's World, The Glass Is Always, and Perpetually, Half-Full
Couldn't leave this one sitting in the files.
I don't know if the American political landscape has ever seen a bigger optimist since, oh, I don't know, probably Harold Stassen.
Let it be known, on this day, in all the lands afar, that White House Press Secretary Dana Perino is an optimist. In Dana Perino's world, the glass is always, and perpetually, half-full.
If life gives her lemons, she makes Lemon Meringue Pie.
Dana Perino doesn't just tow the party line, she goes out, rents the biggest, strongest, most powerful 18-wheeler, and transports it, unabashed and brimming with confidence.
The Little-Press-Secretary-Who-Could came up with a doozy this past Wednesday.
Stunning ... Breathtaking ... Absolutely incredulous!
Perino barreled down the party-line highway, pedal-to-the-metal, declaring there are - REPEAT - there are health benefits associated with Global Warming;
Perino: ‘There Are Public Health Benefits To Climate Change’ For People Who Die From ‘Cold’
WOW!
What's next - Operating heavy machinery after taking drugs - "Yes, there are risks, but you have to factor in the increased productivity"
I wonder if Al Gore will cut her into the profits of the sequel - The Inconvenient Health Benefits of Global Warming
She can always claim - again - that "I Didn’t Lie, I Just Had No Idea What I Was Talking About ..."
Dana Perino, Optimist, and The Little Press Secretary Who Could.
