Bad allergy day, Garlic Fans, so we packed it in early, leaving a handful of posts partial written (or just some notes).

Hope to be back in the saddle tomorrow.

Well, we need to walk around out here a bit, get our bearings, as it has been awhile.

A super-sized Lo Siento, Garlic Fans, for our disappearance this past week.



Now, nothing as the title of the post may suggest, as complicated as 'The Big Sleep' plot, and who killed Sean Regan.

Look angel, I'm tired. My jaw hurts and my ribs ache. I killed a man back there and I had to stand by when a harmless little guy was killed. Do you think I can tell them all that happened because Geiger tried to throw a loop over Carmen? If I tell them that, they'll swarm over your house so fast that every closet you and your family have been in for the last six years will look like a police convention. They'll all ask the same question - where's Sean Regan? Why did Eddie Mars hide his wife to make it look like she ran off with Regan? Why did you hide out there? You're playing with dynamite.

Merely, we had multiple things happening on the homefront, and for a few of the AWOL Days, we didn't even fire up the computer, between dealing with what needed to be dealt with, piled on by major allergies, and just, at the end of the day, being bone-dead tired (perhaps the Full Moon at the end of the week kicked in something, as well).

We're planning on getting back into the groove tomorrow, so hang in there - fresh copy is in the pipeline.

Sorry Garlic Fans, another light post this evening.

We continue to be pummeled by allergies, to the point, I fear, we would be creatively-challenged to write out a shopping list.

The thing that is really driving conservatives crazy, I think, is that their identity politics just isn’t working like it used to. Their whole approach has been based on the belief that Americans vote as if they live in Mayberry, and fear and hate anyone who looks a bit different; now that the country just isn’t like that, they’ve gone mad.

We may need to, having thought we'd have to wait for the confirmation hearing, shout out a "Help Me Mr. Wizard!", to help us all get through this.

Good Evening Garlic Fans

Well, we tried to kick-start it last evening, however, we falter tonight.

After a blip early Sunday morning (another hospital run, quick fix and turn-around, no admittance needed), the Aunt is doing very well, and we've been getting back into routine.

While it was tough to carve out some writing time today, we figured we could get to this evening, and yet, another roadblock;

Allergies!

It was too much to work through, so, as Mr. Dave Brubeck will deliver below, we decided to Take Five.

Good Evening Garlic Fans

Boy, what a week ...

In a previous Editor's Note, we stated some of the things we were dealing with this week, and, apparently, my ebullience was premature.

I've been pinned down, and mercilessly beaten, by a Head Cold, which, in my case, with bad allergies and sinuses, it all goes straight to the sinuses ... Think shiny, gleaming prongs of a rake going on in there, coupled with prolonged periods of feeling like sneezing, but not, and you begin to get the picture.

I worked though it yesterday, but today, it was no go.

Carried through with the Aunt duties, and in- between, it was a day of stretching out on the sofa, taking cat, and power, naps, as best I could.

Hopefully, I'll have the energy (and a less-jammed-up-head) tomorrow to get some posts up (and, as I write this, news is on, with another snowstorm heading in, Saturday/Sunday, with up to 9-inches of snow - wonderful ...)

Editors Note: Lost Days (Literally and Figuratively)

Good Morning Garlic Fans

We hope you are well on this fine Sunday Morning (though, for those of you in the Northeast, it won't be lasting long - yet more thunderous storms, biblical rains and who knows what else is setting up to barrel in later today).

As you quite know, we were absent posts the past few days.

Nothing more than homefront events overtaking the schedule, leaving this writer pretty drained (and, to help matters, getting beat-up by allergies).

Thursday was a pretty good dementia day for the Aunt, that included the battle of having a home-visiting nurse come to draw blood, in preparation for the Friday regular check-up visit with the Doc.

This has, recently, become arduous, as the Aunt believes she has a finite, limited supply of blood and doesn't want to give it away.

Friday AM brought the two-hour loop of "Why do I have to go to the doctor, I feel fine" and "I don't wanna go", and "I'm not going to give them any more blood", with always bringing it back to "Why do I have to go to the doctor?".

Yesterday was back to the regular dementia, and the new wrinkle of calling me on the telephone, just to let me know she was downstairs.

Not even her favorite Lawrence Welk program would deter her from this new messaging service.

So, I plan on getting back in the saddle, with catching up and posting later today and tonight (have a family gig to attend this afternoon) ...

Editor's Note: Down, But Getting Back In The Groove

Good Afternoon Garlic Fans;

We hope you're enjoying a fine day, wherever you may be ...

Lo Siento, once again, for the low (and lack of) posting the past few days.

While there have been homefront commitments that have cut into writing time, it has more to do with being absolutely hammered by allergies the past week.

We're talking sledgehammer, wrecking ball levels of discomfort, with, on one day, the medication taken didn't even put a dent in it.

Disconcerting it is, as it has been quite some time since I felt it this heavy, this early in the season.

Trees here have just started blooming, and I know the rest is following over the next two months (Oh boy, I can hardly wait for early June and all that grass popping up).

As the week progressed, both creativity and energy was draining out of me, such to the point, it came to not even wanting to sit at the computer and attempt anything beyond the most perfunctory reading of email.

The allergies are low today, and a good nights' sleep has the energy levels back up ...

So, taking it while it's here, we'll start the process of completing some half-written posts, as well as creating new ones and get back on track, today and tomorrow.

Lo Siento for the lack of posting yesterday ... Just felt totally beat-up, with a double-dose of the two A's - Allergies and Aunt ... Energy levels were extremely low and rather then trying to wing it, I just settled for not sitting at the computer and let the world run by me for the day ...

So, getting back on track (the two A's are still present, but less-so today) and planning on a bevy of posts to be put up today and tomorrow.
