Thank God, We Have So Many Media Options In This Country ... So People Can Be Informed!

Nicole Belle, over on Crooks and Liars
, has a gem-of-a-gem post today.

It's a video of a few Mike Huckabee supporters, with a crystal clear grasp of the 2008 Presidential Campaign, and why they are firmly behind The Huckster.

As Nicole states;

"It never fails that every day, someone will leave a comment asking us why we spend so much time watching news shows and pointing out Republican framing and other types of media bias."

It's really an amazing spectacle .. A Must-See-Video!

Click over and check out "Why We Do What We Do"

(And be prepared to do a good deal of head-shaking)

Does McCain Approve of The Washington State Voting Withdrawal?

Boy, this is some pretty weird stuff ... And we're not even talking about the Democrats.

With only 87% of the vote counted, in Saturday's caucus, Washington State Election Officials stopped counting the votes, declaring Here's Johnny Boy McCain the winner, when at the time, there was only a 1.8% advantage.

Incredible!

What, did the Washington election officials purchase the State of Florida's "Vote Counting for Dummies" book?

Gosh darn it, why couldn't these guys have been officiating the Super Bowl?

That way, the Patriots would have won, and completed the perfect season.

From Steve Benen, at the Carpetbagger Report;

"Asked for an explanation, state Republican Party Chairman Luke Esser said he just felt confident that the other 13% of the votes didn’t need to be counted. He told reporters, “Maybe it would have been safer if I hadn’t said anything. But it was an exciting and historic day for the state and I thought if I was confident about what the outcome would be I should share that with the people who had gone out to their caucuses.”

WTF!?

"Maybe it would have been safer if I hadn't said anything"

Who's coaching this guy, David Addington?

The exciting history just may be that they called an election with only 87% of the vote counted. I'd say that stands out pretty good ... That should be one for the record books.

From Josh Marshall, at TPM;
"Late Update: It seems that Washington State GOP chair Luke Esser spent most of the day avoiding calls from the Huckabee campaign. And when he finally got back to them he told a lawyer for Huckabee's campaign that they'd probably count the rest of the votes some time next week. When the lawyer, Lauren Huckabee, the candidate's daughter-in-law, requested that a Huckabee lawyer be present when the remaining votes were counted, Esser hung up on her. Before the hang up, Huckabee also asked Esser about the DIY statistical analysis he did to conclude that he should call the race (Esser's expertise in statistics apparently stems from previous work as a state prosecutor and a sports writer). Was there an analysis of what precincts the remaining votes came from? According to Huck campaign manager Ed Rollins, Esser admitted that he didn't know which precincts the remaining votes came from."

Team Huckabee, naturally, is raising hell over this.

The Seattle Times is reporting that "In the face of the Huckabee protest, the state Republican Party quickly resumed its count today, a bit sooner than it had planned."

"Sooner than it had planned"?

Gee, sorry to put you guys out ... Then again, if you did your fucking jobs on Saturday, you wouldn't be looking like monkey asses today.

Included in the Puget Sound-sized number of questions that need to be address here, one should be, if it was Huckabee enjoying a 1.8% advantage, after only 87% of the vote counted, would they still have packed it in and gone home?

With what's gone down, since The Bush Grindhouse stole the 2000 election, is there any reason to have any confidence in our voting system any longer?

Jeesh! ...

It's that time again ... Cue up Que Sera Sera...

Top Ten Cloves: Ways Chuck Norris Will Keep Mike Huckabee From Getting Old In The White House, If He's Elected

News Item - Norris: McCain may be too old for the White House

2. The candles on a President Mike Huckabee birthday cake will be so scared, seeing Chuck Norris there, they'll blow themselves out, wishing for President Mike Huckabee to stay young

1. If John McCain tries to send his 95-year-old mother over to wash Chuck Norris's mouth out with soap, he'll karate-kick the soap down her throat, and then go over to McCain and wash his mouth out with her roundhouse-kicked body

Hmmm ... I Wonder ... Would She Rather Be In Philadelphia?

No word on where she'd rather be, but this has to be - despite Mike Huckabee and what he might say at any given moment - the head-shaker-of-the-day story;

EXCLUSIVE: The AP Has Written Britney Spears' Obituary
I'm half-surprised the Cable News networks haven't tossed their 24/7 political coverage aside to run hours of loops of the same footage of Britney, accompanied by a parade of Tinsel Town talking heads - the B-Journalists - who, in truth, are very much part of Britney's problems and, exponentially, increase the coverage by running the loops of Anna Nicole Smith, rehashing her sad life and the parallels to Britney ...

Too bad this isn't a Sweeps Month, or that may very well have come to fruition.

I wonder if, like a racetrack's tote board, this jostled the betting at the Dead Pool?

Now, it's time to kick back and wait for the other shoe to drop ... Paris Hilton, complaining that no one has written her obituary yet, or worse, as with her singing, she's going to do it herself ...

8. Bill Clinton's going around, complaining, none of the caucus sites had any donuts

7. I heard Huckabee screwed up again ... Flying back from The Tonight Show, he flew into Idaho, instead of coming here

6. There's a guy outside, selling padded SUV sunroof handles

5. Look, someone is going around dressed up like New Hampshire's Old Man of the Mountain ... Oh, wait a minute, that's John McCain!

4. Is Fred Thompson the guy with the wide stance?

3. Geez, those Ron Paul kids don't give up ... They're running fundraising car washes outside all the GOP caucus sites

2. I heard that the Romney campaign, if you vote for him, will give you a DVD of his faith speech

'They Shoot Iowa Caucuses, Don't They?

Rocky: Here they are again, folks! These wonderful, wonderful kids! Still struggling! Still hoping! As the clock of fate ticks away, the dance of destiny continues! The marathon goes on, and on, and on! HOW LONG CAN THEY LAST!

From "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?"

Boy, what a fucked up system!

This, the Iowa Caucus, looked like a "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?" contest, but directed by Jacques Tati.

It couldn't be more absurd

Stand over here ... Move over here ... Now raise your hands ... Move back over here ...

Bouncing around the channels found Wolf Blitzer working a SuperSizeMe set of his Situation Room and Rachel Maddow settling into her Hillary Clinton Apologist mode ... Fox has their usual cast of dimwits, including Little Billy Kristol...
Winners called are;

Huckabee over Make-Up Mitt.

Obama running away with it, with Hillary and Edwards duking it out for second place.

This is major cool and major headlines because I'm sure the empty suits that run both parties are pulling a Tessio, from The Godfather, repeating over-and-over, "Hell, he can't do that ... It screws up all my plans ..."

There is no understating of Obama walking away with it ... In a state where you could probably count the number of minorities on one hand ... And taking on the Clinton Machine ... Hillary, after all, was supposed to be able to just show up and her cakewalk to the nomination was all but official ...

Trouble in River City, indeed ...

And the stumblin'-and-bumblin' Huckabee running, proverbially, his fingers through Make-Up Mitt's hair ... His expensive hair .. His 20-1-spending-in-Iowa hair ...

All of Mitt's doggies, and all of Mitt's sons may not be able to put Mitt back together again ...

Maybe it is true, what they say about Chuck Norris ...

I had planned doing a complete different post, that I wrote earlier this afternoon.

Now, having watched the coverage, I don't believe it captured the satire and buffoonery of this event with it, so, we go free-flow and let it fly on-the-run.

The first leg of, hopefully, finding the person that will lift us out of the darkness of the Bush Grindhouse, has been run through the corn husks of Iowa and now it's on to the land of "Live Free or Die".

Like Rocky says in "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?": Yowza! Yowza! Yowza!
